Gateway Grange Rowner

Gateway Grange Pre-School is a purpose built building situated in the grounds of Grange Infants School.

The pre-school accepts children from 2-5 years and a total of 40 children attend at any one time.   Our younger children – from 2 years to approximately 3 –   are in one group and our older children from approximately – 3 years to 5 years –  in another group.

Each group room is sectioned into different age and developmentally appropriate areas such as messy play area, maths area, reading area, building and construction area, music area etc.

We also have quiet areas so children can rest and relax or have a one to one story with their key carer.

The children’s rooms open up to a large playing area which is accessible for all children.  The garden consists of a growing area for children to grow flowers and vegetables, a physical area and a building area.   We also have a sand and water play area which is a favourite of all the children.  Our large mud garden enables the children to explore, investigate and create.  It is perfect for the children’s developing imagination!

Our practitioners hold full and relevant qualifications and the majority of our practitioners are highly experienced.  It is a Gateway policy that all staff must also be trained in first aid, child protection, food hygiene, health and safety and safeguarding.

We welcome all families to our lovely pre-school. You will find it is a home from home at Gateway Grange where every child and family are welcomed, respected and cared for. Our children thrive in an atmosphere of love and care and their learning is supported through an intimate knowledge of each child’s unique needs, their abilities and interests and of course  their starting points.
